Subject Guides
SCSU library are very good website, that facilitates us save time and very convenient to pick a topic, find articles or bibliography. All of these seven lines are very useful, and I pick to research “Subject Guides”, that line help us to identify the best sources for research in a particular subject area, and the better part that I think for here is do not require students waste time to create an account. When you enter into you will see “Select a Subject” and use English letters A-Z to representative different subject. After choose the subject and submit, the next page has more detailed information, such as Subject Description.
In general there have four parts to help students identify the best sources. First: “Find Articles, Journals, Magazines and Newspapers” this part show students that the sources from databases, indexes, working papers and electronic journals. This part let students easily to find the correct books or papers include the name, author, and publication date you also can find it in here. Second: “Find Facts, Definitions, and Overviews” show the sources from dictionaries, encyclopedias and handbooks; this will help students to get the best definition more understanding of the subject. Third “Find Laws, Legislation, and Government Reports” that show sources from publications of government agencies and legislatures. For this part are show students the sources more authoritative and official.  Last part: “Use Web Resources” to show high-quality and reliable internet sites to support the sources.
These were all things about “Subject Guides”. The line “Subject Guides” is very useful and helpful, students do not need to wise too many time to find the support or the sources about their subject anymore.

When he returned to America the first person he saw it was his mother. After that, when they want to go to their home, his mother saw her friend. He heard news about what happened in Nepal about the Maoist attacks and the Royal Nepalese Army’s counterattacks in the Radio. Moreover, when his mother left to the Florida, his friend called him every night. After a few days, he wants to find the job because he wants to stay in America. He wrote in the final section of his resume about “Little Princes Children’s Home, Nepal, Volunteer”. After that, he sent the message to Viva by e-mail because he wants to back to Nepal and he buys the ticket for travel and he put the plan for his travel. He lists his plan steps and he went to Kathmandu. After Kathmandu, he went to Nepal. In addition, he learned a lot of things about Nepal. Conor Grennan traveled to Nepal again after several years and he did not tell the children about his coming. Moreover, He worked in Nepal when the children went to the school.

When Conor Grennan comes to Nepal again, it has already years past. Conor determines to find those seven lost kids, and to give them a safe place called “home”. It is a rather difficult mission for this young American to find seven Nepali kids in an alien country, especially in a country which is suffering from uprising and food shortage. Luckily, Conor is not the only one trying to save those starving kids. Viva, Jacky and Gyan in especial, as well as the other fellows of the Umbrella Foundation, offer him great help during his finding of the seven kids. Liz, a like-minded American girl, also encourages Conor to keep on and shares his bitterness and happiness as an E-pal. All of Conor’s endeavors and efforts finally push the whole thing into a happy trend. Amite and other four boys, five in total of those seven lost kids are continuously found in the other villages. At the end of my reading this time, Conor could eventually take a two hours sweet nap and share a peace moment with these skinny but brave little children. Initially, he was reluctant to volunteer because he was not certain on whether he had any appropriate competence, or the required passion, to be involved with a country which was experiencing civil war. However, he was soon convinced by a number of resilient children who often challenged him and rewarded him more than he would expect (Grennan 137). Conor learnt that those children were not orphans but had been taken by child traffickers who had promised their families to take them to safety because of the war for a big amount of fee. These traffickers would then later abandon these children far from their homes along the Nepal’s capital (Grennan 143).What began as an adventure for Conor, became a commitment to reunite those kids with their families. Conor had grown fond of these kids, but the task of reuniting them with their families wasn’t going to be easy. He had to risk his own life through a journey faced by the dangers of the civil war along the Nepal Mountains. There was a Woman back at Kathmandu who waited for him hoping that he would arrive before the snow could trap him. This woman eventually became his wife (Grennan 148). Little Princes is not only a true story but enjoyable. It shows how much one is capable of doing when faced by extreme problems. Little Princes is quite a hilarious story that reveals how strong faith and love can take us through issues that are beyond our expectation.
Analysis
Conor wrote about some events in the third part of this book. The first part of chapter three shows a story about how he returned from American, and he explained about the feeling when he saw his mother. He heard about the attacks in Nepal in the Radio. After his mother left to Florida, he sent a message to Viva by e-mail telling her that he wants to come back to Nepal. He bought the ticket, and before he went to Nepal he went to Kathmandu. In the second part of chapter three the author shows the events about when he arrived to Nepal it was one year from when he traveled. He found a job in Nepal and started working while the kids were at school. Conor promised to find the seven lost children, and give them a safe home. It seems impossible mission for Conor to find these children in country which is suffering from uprising and food shortage. Conor was lucky, because he wasn’t alone Viva, Jacky and Gyan in especial, as well as the other fellows of the Umbrella Foundation. They were willing to help him to find these children. Liz also supported him to keep searching for these kids. Conor continued to search for the children, from seven children he found five of them. At the end, thios whole mission was not easy while he had to risk his life but he successfully returned the children with their families. While he was in his trip around the mountain there was a woman at Kathmandu who was waiting for him, she was hoping that he arrive before the snow. In the end this woman became his wife.

For Little Prince summary

Conor Grennan was a 29-year-old man and he wants to travel around world by do the volunteers in Nepal. When he arrived at a village called Gou, he changes his idea.  The Orphanage is called little Prince Children’s home. In there, Conor and other volunteers taking care those children who were abandoned by their parents. Conor built a good relationship with those children by teaching and playing with them. One day, a woman came to the Orphanage, and said she was the mother of one child, at the same time, Conor knew that those children were not abandoned by their family; their parents were deceived by traffickers.  In the following days, Conor saw the children’s living standard; especially seven children were trafficked after that, he made a decision that he need do something to help those children.

Next Generation Nepal was found by Conor Grenan, once he back to the United State. This organization offers help to rescue the children from human trafficker in Nepal. Next Generation Nepal organization is work with other non-profit organizations in Kathmandu make an alliance against child trafficking organization. They put all the rescued children in the Dhaulagiri House, Little Prince Children’s house and Umbrella Foundation. When he worked for Next Generation Nepal, there is a girl comes into his life. Her name is Liz. They knew each other by emails. She has really interest in the Next Generation Nepal. In the email, she said she has a lot of experience with volunteer in third-world countries. She wants to help the children in Next Generation Nepal.

And after he found back all of these seven children, he still though this is not enough, he has one difficult but great decided: help these children to find their parents and let them reunion. So he invited some locals guide and started this family search trip. After spend one trek month, they helped most of these children’s family. Then, some of children come back home very quickly after they contacted with their family, some of them waited for appropriated time to come home. And happier thing was finally, Liz agreed Conor’s proposed.

For little Princes I want to say that was very interest and have the pedagogical meaning. This is not just simple record essay; it’s also an enlightenment book. At first time Conor Grennan is only want to run away and break his bored life. So, help orphans just a good excuse to help him get support and persuade himself to leave, his real goal still was travel round the world to find some new and exciting things. But his later time to leave Nepal, he was felt responsibility, these orphans need him and he also care about them. He felt they are very important to him and don’t want to leave them. This is Conor grow up experience also it’s let us to grow up.

Page 5-6
Conor Grennan  have very steady and comfortable life before left to his home country, he is single and dont need to worry about money. Conor Gernnan want to change his life which he think was very bored, he want to travel round the world and do something that can make his life different and meaningful. Help orphans in Nepal that was very good chance and excuse, and this excuse can let him get support from his family and friends, also will not limit his travel plan.

Page 53-55
After Conor Grennan get along with these Nepal orphans, he felt very difficult to leave them. These orphans changed his concept, let him felt he is father of them. He has sense of responsibility for these orphans, they let him know what is really meaning of family. These orphans are become very important part in his life, but he still dont want to abandon his travel plan, so he promised that he will come back to Nepal after one year.

Compare first and later reasons.
At first time Conor Grennan is only want to run away and break his bored life. So, help orphans just a good excuse to help him get support and persuade himself to leave, his real goal still was travel round the world to find some new and exciting things. But his later time to leave Nepal, he was felt responsibility, these orphans need hime and he also care about them. He felt they are very important to him and dont want to left them. So Conor Grennan has two different feel between first and later times.
